These are made from the same base mix and additives as your rolled bait. They include a hardening agent which actually compliments the nutritional profile of the bait. We recommend that you freeze them, but they do have a short shelf life to make them more user friendly. Of course, they last ages in soak or glug.
The intended purposes of our Hardened Hookbaits are:
- To reduce the impact that pest species have on your hookbait.
- To allow each hookbait a far extended time in the water compared with a standard bottom bait - especially when Crayfish are present.
- To ensure your bait stays on the hair if you are an angler who leaves your rods out for ages. They can last for up to 48 hours.
